National Hunger Awareness Day- (1st Tuesday in June)
.National Hunger Awareness Day is an effort to raise awareness of and donations to help end hunger in America. It was created in 2002, at a time when there was a significant increase in the number of Americans unable to feed their families. Hunger relief organizations such as Nazarene Outpost Ministries are forced to cope with this increased demand while working in an environment with less food and fewer charitable dollars available. National Hunger Awareness Day emerged as an important way to increase awareness about hunger in America.

Veteran's Day Service
Many of us are already looking forward to next year, and planning our vacations. Because of the recession in our economy, many families cannot get beyond the Christmas season. Many children in families will be hungry this holiday as they are almost every day. Many of them will not even have a home to place a tree, or toys to place under it.
Help us make a happy holiday for the needy
